The New York Racing Association will also offer exclusive pre-sale opportunities from January 24-25.
Beginning at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 24, all 2016 returning reserved seat and premium hospitality ticket buyers, as well as top-tier NYRA Bets members, will have access to the pre-sale. All 2016 general admission ticket buyers and NYRA Bets members, as well as fans who sign up online for this exclusive presale at NYRA.com, will be able to participate in the presale starting at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 25.
Highlighted by the 149th running of the Grade 1, $1.5 million Belmont Stakes, the oldest and most challenging leg of horse racing’s vaunted “Triple Crown,” the three-day mega event will feature 19 stakes races including six Grade 1s. The Belmont Stakes Racing Festival will begin on Thursday, June 8 and conclude Saturday, June 10.
Fans can also enjoy a trackside performance with a special Friday evening concert on June 9 led by acclaimed Billy Joel tribute band Big Shot. The group, which features pianist and vocalist Michael DelGuidice, is the only tribute band whose members belong to the multi-platinum and Grammy Award-winning performer Billy Joel’s band. Saturday’s headlining act and additional entertainment will be announced at a later date.
“Since its inception in 2015, the three-day Belmont Stakes Racing Festival has quickly become the must-attend event that kicks off New York’s summer season,” said Lynn LaRocca, NYRA Senior Vice President and Chief Experience Officer. “This year’s exceptional lineup once again features championship racing, top entertainment and VIP hospitality. As always, we strongly encourage fans to purchase their tickets well in advance to ensure their place at racing’s best festival at beautiful Belmont Park.”
