Belmont Park jockey colony to visit Ronald McDonald House of Long Island

Members of the Belmont Park Jockey colony to visit children on Thursday, June 8 at the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island.

Jockeys John Velazquez, Javier Castellano, Irad Ortiz Jr., Jose Ortiz, Rajiv Maragh and others are expected to attend.

As part of the Belmont Stakes Racing Festival presented by NYRA Bets, members of the Belmont Park jockey colony will visit seriously ill children and their families at the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island. The annual trip has been taking place for more than 20 years.

Hall of Fame rider John Velazquez, Eclipse Award winning jockey Javier Castellano and fellow jockeys Irad Ortiz Jr., Jose Ortiz, Rajiv Maragh, Dylan Davis, Eric Cancel, Rosario Montanez are expected to attend.

The jockeys will be dressed in their silks and will pose for pictures with the children enjoying pony rides. They will also distribute gifts like personally autographed riding goggles and hats.
