151st Belmont Stakes post position draw to be held at Citi Field on June 4

by NYRA Press Office

The post position draw for the 151st running of the Belmont Stakes will be held in the Foxwoods Club at Citi Field on Tuesday, June 4 at 5:30 p.m., the New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) announced today.

For the second straight year, NYRA will hold the draw for the Belmont Stakes at Citi Field, home of the New York Mets, before a game, with the Mets taking on the San Francisco Giants at 7:10 p.m.

Offering panoramic views of Flushing Meadows-Corona Park, the world-famous Unisphere and the New York City skyline, the Foxwoods Club will again host the traditional post position draw for the Belmont Stakes followed by a Q/A session with selected trainers and owners moderated by NYRA TV analyst and handicapper Andy Serling.

Media will have the opportunity to interview trainers and connections at the conclusion of the event.

The Belmont Stakes is the final jewel of the Triple Crown and the centerpiece of the three-day Belmont Stakes Racing Festival from June 6-8 that features 18 stakes races, including eight Grade 1 races on Saturday, June 8.

To attend the draw - and for additional event details and parking instructions - media members must RSVP to Patrick Kobel at [email protected].
