The Empire State Building will Shine Purple, White and Green in Honor of the Belmont Stakes

The Empire State Building will celebrate the 2012 Belmont Stakes on Thursday, June 7, 2012 by illuminating its world-famous tower lights.
The building’s north and south sides will shine purple and white to cheer on Triple Crown hopeful I’ll Have Another, seeking to become the 12th Triple Crown Champion. The building’s east and west sides will illuminate green and white in honor of the 2012 Belmont Stakes, the third leg of the Triple Crown.
