With I’ll Have Another set to pursue a sweep of the Triple Crown following his victory in Saturday’s Preakness Stakes, tickets to the 144th running of the Grade 1, $1 million Belmont Stakes on June 9 are certain to be a hot commodity. As a result, The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) has changed its Belmont Stakes ticket-selling policies.
Effective immediately, customers can purchase Belmont Stakes tickets at Belmont Park or Aqueduct Racetrack from 11:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. tomorrow, with walk-up ticket sales at the two tracks to resume on Wednesday, subject to availability. Transactions at Aqueduct are limited to credit card purchases.
Customers will not be able to purchase tickets by calling or faxing NYRA. Instead, they can buy tickets through Ticketmaster beginning Monday at 10 a.m. To buy tickets through Ticketmaster, racing fans can call 800-745-3000 or visit www.ticketmaster.com.
All customers, whether they purchased tickets at Belmont or Aqueduct or through Ticketmaster, will receive their tickets via mail. There is a limit of six tickets per transaction.
