Jazil - 2006 Belmont Stakes

Neither the Kentucky Derby or Preakness winner made the starting gate for the Belmont Stakes, and it was the diminutive Jazil who capitalized. His eighteen-year-old jockey Fernando Jara and trainer Kiaran McLaughlin both won their first Belmont Stakes. It was also the first of two consecutive wins for broodmare Better Than Honour.
