Andrew Cohen’s Sunrise Stable is the majority owner of Giant Finish. Cohen owns Giant Finish’s sire, Frost Giant, who was New York’s leading freshman sire for 2012. During the horse’s racing career, Cohen owned Frost Giant in partnership with IEAH Stable and Pegasus Holding Group. Cohen was also part owner of 2007 Breeders’ Cup Mile winner Kip Deville, 2008 Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner and Champion Three-Year-Old Male Big Brown, and 2008 Champion Sprinter Benny the Bull.
In addition to his New York racing operation, Dutrow competes at Philadelphia Park, Delaware Park, and other tracks in the Mid-Atlantic region. Dutrow won four stakes with New York-bred Rightly So, who concluded her career with a victory in the Grade 1 Ballerina. Dutrow has also won Grade 1 races with Cat Moves (2009 Prioress), Grace Hall (2011 Spinaway), Seattle Smooth (2009 Ogden Phipps), and So Many Ways (2012 Spinaway). Dutrow is the son of late trainer Richard Dutrow, Sr. His brothers, Rick Dutrow, Jr. and Sydney “Chip” Dutrow, have both trained horses. He and his wife, Kim, have three sons: James, John and Anthony. Giant Finish will be his first Belmont Stakes starter
